Royal Liverpool University & Broadgreen Hospital Trust Hospital Badge
I posted an account previously of our attendance at the badge presentation ceremony at St Georges Concert Hall on 14th May (see in ‘News ‘on the website). We were all very impressed with the initiative implemented by the Chief Nurse Lisa Grant and Carolyn has now been contacted since with the following offer. In recognition of the contribution to nursing in Liverpool made by League members the Chief Nurse would like to present us all with an RLUHT badge, there are pictures on the website for your information. We are interested in knowing how many members would be interested in attending, in small batches, to receive a badge at each ensuing ceremony. Initially there was some enthusiasm but as members have reflected we have had feedback which suggests appreciation of the offer. However, at a time when many of us are downsizing and trying to reduce possessions for our heirs to deal with some feel it would be appropriate to just have a badge to archive. I did frame a badge already and it will go on display with the other framed badges in the corridor of the Foresight centre. We already have the details of interested members present at the Annual Reunion.
