An interesting Panorama programme last night on BBC 1 focusing on the future of Community service and NHS provision in Liverpool.
The Royal Liverpool features prominently but I really don’t think they could have pictured Liverpool in a more dismal light. Of course there are many poor areas in the city but the photography of almost monochrome and under-lit scenes gave a totally depressing vision of what is a vibrant and bustling city. But I guess that wasn’t the image they wanted to support the commentary – so yet again a negative message about poor old Liverpudlians. Good to hear such enthusiastic analysis and commitment from professionals though.
