On September 3rd 2014 Carolyn and Pat from the Nurses League Committee represented the League at a conference held at Liverpool University and organized by Liverpool University Nursing Students. The conference was titled “Reflecting on the past, shaping the future” and was attended by students from the north west of England.
As we were the ‘past’, we set up a stall, displaying our old LRI photos. These generated much interest and we were pleased to be asked about the old days.
We also had the opportunity to attend one of the lecture and listened with interest to Andrea Spyropolous, President of the RCN and ex LRI, inspiring students with her talk ‘Nursing: Past, Present and Future’
We had a lovely day – thank you to the Liverpool University Nursing Students for inviting us.
