Data Protection Act 1998
A query was raised at a recent Committee meeting, in relation to details held on our database and whether we are conforming to the Data Protection Act 1998.
The information we hold is: Name, Address and year of commencement of training, as shown in the Members Address book.
Most of this information is necessary for the posting of the Journal and for contacting members at other times.
We wish to assure you that we do conform to the relevant section of the Act and our system is not linked to a network in any way.
If any member does not wish to have their details held on the database, please contact the Honorary Secretary, in writing.
This information will be posted on the website and in next year`s journal.
